For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

Recap
Wow! What a week! We were so blessed to have been welcomed into a phenomenal host home who instantly felt like family. This week consisted of evangelism, training others in evangelism, a youth gathering, a worship night, and the Jesus Rally.
God taught us how to do ministry in an impactful, yet joyful way by taking the pressure off of ourselves to manufacture anything and simply walk hand in hand with Him as he moves in people’s hearts. We are learning what it looks like to walk in obedience and hear his voice. We do not want to move where he is not going to go.

Testimony
There are so many testimonies I could share because God did so much this week! I want to share one that focuses on hearing the voice of the Lord.
Worship had just started at the youth rally on Wednesday night. I felt God asking me to go stand on the opposite side of the room, so I grabbed my Bible and journal and walked over there. Once I walked over, I noticed a girl standing by herself, so I stood near her.
I started praying for her in my mind and asked God if he had anything for me to share with her. I felt like he spoke the word “boldness” and “flower.” I was like “Okay, boldness makes sense, but God do you have anything more specific to say about flower?” I felt as if he spoke the word “Chrysanthemum.” Now, I was very confused. I wanted to google chrysanthemum to see if it had any special meaning, but my phone was on the other side of the room. So, I just waited and prayed about it.
At the end of the night, one of our team members was closing us out and I felt God prompting me that it was time to share the word I had heard from him. I was not quite ready to share it just yet, so I thought to myself, “Why don’t I just ask God what this word means.” I’m not sure why I didn’t think to ask him earlier, ha!
I said to the Lord, “What do you mean with the word Chrysanthemum?” Instantly, I remembered the children’s book, Chrysanthemum. In this book, the main character, Chrysanthemum, hates her name and hates who she is because she is afraid of what other people think of her. Throughout the events of the story, she comes to embrace and appreciate her uniqueness as an individual and realize how truly special she is. I was like, “Okay God, I can share this.”
I walked up to the girl and asked her if there was anything I could pray for her in that moment. She shared that she was struggling with peer pressure and fear of what other people thought of her. It was crazy because the word God spoke was exactly what she needed to hear. I was able to share it with her and she was able to take steps towards breaking off fear of man over her life! Praise God.
