Recap

This week we were in San Diego, California! It was such a blessing to be in cooler weather after spending a week in the desert! We celebrated Jesse’s birthday on our rest day which was so fun! The culture of this city was very different than other cities we had been to yet. We prayed and asked God for specific strategies to connect with people and minister to their hearts effectively.

We were able to reflect on how God has moved each week of tour so far and build our faith for what he wanted to do this week! God moved in beautiful ways all week. We saw him minister to peoples hearts in mighty ways as we engaged in meaningful conversations. We finished it off with a Jesus rally right on the ocean! It was so sweet! God showed us his faithfulness so clearly this week!

Things to Praise God for…

8 – # of people who received God’s gift of salvation for the first time!

2 – # of people who rededicated their lives to Christ and wanted to go all in with God!

5 – # of people who received physical healing from God!

15 – # of people who were delivered or set free from demonic oppression!

333 – # of people who heard the gospel this week!

1 – person decided to take the next step in their faith and get baptized!

Here are some testimonies of what God did this week!

1. Gwags and Ryne were approached by two thirteen year old boys after the Jesus rally. Gwags asked if they knew Jesus. One of the boy said he goes to church once in a while. They asked if he knew the gospel. He didn’t. So Grace shared the gospel and asked if he wanted to know Jesus. He immediately said yes and then his friend said yes, too. They prayed to accept God into their hearts. Then Gwags and Ryne taught them how to hear Gods voice and gave one of them a Bible.

2. Ryne went up to a guy outside of the grocery store. As they started talking, Ryne found out that the guy used to be on fire for God, but had fallen away from faith. He thought he had to earn his way back to God. The man didn’t even know if he was saved anymore. Ryne preached the gospel again and encouraged him in his faith. Ryne shared that we could never earn our way back to God, but salvation comes by God’s grace. After this, He wanted to rededicated his life to God and start fresh following Jesus. They prayed together and the man was so encouraged in his faith!

3. During evangelism, Keiko talked to a girl who had crippling anxiety. She said it was keeping her from preaching the gospel but she knew she was supposed to be an evangelist. Her anxiety had physical implications on her body, causing her arm to go numb and heart to ache. She asked for prayer from Keiko because was feeling her anxiety physically at the time. Keiko prayed and the pain left, then she was filled with boldness! She went around the beach and started preaching the gospel to strangers! Amen!

4. I met and prayed for a Starbucks worker on Tuesday during evangelism. I saw the same girl again on Friday. I prayed for her again and asked if she knew the gospel. She shared that she was raised catholic but did not know the gospel. I was able to share the full gospel and some of my testimony. After this, I asked if this is something she wanted. She was so interested, but not ready to go all in with God. She said she felt like this conversation was from God and was going to keep thinking about it!
