Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

Recap

It was such a joy to be in Boise this week! We were able to join the PNW team this week which was so refreshing and fun! We started off our time together with a hilarious game of blindfold kickball. It was epic. Throughout the week, we served at VBS, served at a food pantry, hosted prayer sets, did evangelism, a unity worship night, a Gen- Z rally, led house churches, evangelized in the bars, and had our Jesus Rally! We were running hand in hand with Jesus all week long, but there was so much grace from God to endure long ministry days. God moved immensely and we are so filled with faith that the church in Boise is rising up and we will soon have little work to do there because everyone will be in relationship with Jesus!!

Things to Praise God for…

88 – # of people who invited Jesus into their lives for the first time! 40 of these were kids from the VBS!!!

36 – # of people who rededicated their lives to Jesus!

5 – # of people whose bodies were physically healed by God !

13 – # of people who received freedom or deliverance through the power of God!

623 – # of gospel seeds planted!

9 – # of people who took next steps in their faith and decided to be baptized!

Here are some testimonies of what God is doing in Boise!

1. One of Andrew’s VBS kids, Stella accepted Jesus in her heart. She didn’t know if it counts bc she didn’t grow up in church, but Andrew was able to speak life over her and commission her to share with her family about Jesus!

2. God led me to a girl during the Gen Z Rally who was having a panic attack. Her body was shaking and she couldn’t breathe well. We prayed for freedom from fear and asked for the peace of God to fill her. We prayed that the voices of the enemy would be silenced and that God would speak. She heard the voice of the Lord speaking to her and restoring identity over her. The Lord freed her from fear and healed her migraine. She had been getting migraines everyday for the past two years, but shared she had not had them since praying when I saw her again that week!

3. Jesse talked to a man named Parker who was very closed off at first making rude comments and remarks. However, as we talked, his friend pulled Jesse aside and opened up about a really difficult life as he was abused at a young age by family He struggled with religion because they forced him to go to church. He had gotten into a lot of trouble recently and was in jail from 2018 till 2022. He proceeded to share that he wish we lived in there because he has been thinking about getting back into the church. He was becoming much more open to what Jesse had to share about God and asked if they could stay in contact!

4. Before evangelism at the mall, Bode, Abby and Diego got a picture of skater guys in prayer. 30 seconds after entering the mall, Bode saw them. They immediately went to talk to them. One of the guys grew up in the LDS church. They kept talking and Bode, Abby, and Diego shared testimonies about Jesus and the gospel and asked if this is something they wanted. They weren’t fully ready to receive Jesus because of brokenness they faced. One of them thought they were too far gone. Our Team shared about father wounds, how God wants to heal them and about the real character of God. After learning more about God, they wanted to give their lives to Jesus and invited him into their lives!!

These stories are just a glimpse of the mighty ways God is intentionally pursuing relationship with people and inviting them into his family!!
