Recap

Hey y’all! Let me tell you, I had no idea what to expect walking into Boise this week, but what a joy it was! Boise will walk forth in shouts of joy and triumph!

Our host homes immediately felt like family and loved us so well! We were partnered with another team this week, shout out to the Seal Squad! It was refreshing to be with another team and spur each other on!

This week we lead several prayer sets, served in a food pantry, lead two young adult nights, attended Bible study, did evangelism, and hosted an outdoor worship gathering. It was a wild week full of God moving in and through people.

God brought many people to salvation, freedom, and healing. It was such a joy to see him move!

Testimonies

#1 During our gathering, TK preached the gospel and invited people to go all in with Jesus. I had the opportunity to talk with a young women. Only seconds after we began chatting, she started to weep and I learned she grew up in the church, but was living in bondage and bitterness. However, she was ready to give God everything. She rededicated her life to Christ and we prayed for freedom from trauma and several addictions. It was a powerful moment and she had the peace of God and joy of the Lord afterwards!! God is so intentional about bringing his children back to himself!

#2 “One of our mornings was spent helping distribute food at a food pantry, where we also got to simply engage with the people in need, pray for them, and encourage them. When we were nearly wrapping up, Manny offered to bring the coffee cart back into the church and I (Bri) went along for honestly no big reason. But God had such a divine appointment to release his intentionality and healing on a woman we would encounter in the kitchen. When we got into the church, the secretary let us in the kitchen and started conversation with us. We got to share more about tour and then she also shared about her walk with the Lord and the incredible things He’s been doing in her life. This is a woman of FAITH! Before we headed out, Manny asked a simple but transformative question, “can we just pray a blessing over you and also pray for anything you need?” She eagerly replied “yes, absolutely. I need prayer for my back.” She opened up that she has three crushed discs in her back that need surgery, but due to other health concerns she cannot get surgery. So, we prayed for complete healing of her back. We prayed a few times, each with more and more improvement in pain. Finally, the last time, as we continued to pray in faith that God would bring full healing, she said she felt something physically shift in her back. She described it as a balloon inflating in her back!! AND, the pain was completely gone!!! She could stand and move in ways the pain previously inhibited her! The kindness of the Lord to use such a simple moment to fully heal this woman of her chronic back pain! Praise God!!” – Bri
